Here are the pictures from our July 2017 MarineMax Getaway to Bimini. We were gone for 10 days: first to Hawk's Cay Resort in the Keys for 2 days, then two days at Fisher Island in Miami, then 3 days in Bimini, followed by 2 days at Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon, FL and then back home.

We left home at 6:45am to cruise from Cape Coral to Hawk's Cay. We met up with 6 other boats that started out at the MarineMax marina in Fort Myers. The weather was perfect most of the day. We navigated through some rain south of Marco Island up until we got to the entry of Hawk's Cay marina.
The water is always beautiful at Hawk's Cay. The morning we left for Miami & Fisher Island started with rain, but ended up being mostly sunshine and blue skies. We stopped at the Miami Beach marina to refuel before getting to our destination at Fisher Island marina. Fisher Island is a private island just off shore from Miami Beach. It was a very pretty, high-end type of place. We even got our own golf cart to get around the island.
Here are pictures of the grounds, architecture & marina where we stayed on Fisher Island before heading to Bimini.
We crossed the Atlantic in less than 3 hours to get to Bimini from Miami. The crossing was easy: sunny & 1 to 2 foot waves. As we entered the channel to get to the resort in Bimini, the water was crystal clear and glowing in all shades of blue & green. It was gorgeous! Here are the pics from our 3 days in Bimini. One day the whole group went out on 2 boats to anchor by an old shipwreck where we swam, snorkeled and made grilled lobster for lunch. It was a great day!
After 3 days in Bimini, we crossed back over to the states and stayed at Faro Blanco marina in Marathon before heading home.
