Boca Grand Marine Max Getaway
April 14th - 16th  2017

Here are some pictures from our boating getaway to Boca Grand Marina on Gasparilla Island.
We went on a MarineMax getaway the weekend of April 14th up to the Island, where we stayed at the Boca Grand marina. It was a small marina, but in very good condition and had one of the best support staffs we've ever experienced while boating.
We arrived midday on Friday and because of the size of our boat were assigned a slip on what is call a "Face Dock". As usual, Michael washed the boat and then because of the time of year the Love Bugs came out. What a big, ugly swarm. They didn't bite or anything, but just covered the boat with hundreds of lazy, black bugs Yuck!.
There was a docktail party the first night where we got to have dinner with everyone else on the getaway. Saturday the men went on a fishing outing and the women went shopping & then out to lunch.  Saturday night we grilled jerk chicken on the boat and just spent the evening chillin'. Sunday checkout time was 11am so we headed out a bit before that and made the easy trip back down the intra coastal home.
We will definitely visit here again!
